Scale and Subject

This 1/72 scale diecast model replicates the Lockheed U-2S Dragon Lady wearing the 80-1094 markings from the 2025 Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford. It is built for adult collectors and military‑aviation enthusiasts who want a display‑accurate replica of a specific USAF airframe.

Decisive Specification

The model features an opening canopy and detachable landing gear, letting you choose between in‑flight and parked configurations on the included display stand. Diecast metal and plastic construction provides a heavy, realistic feel while preserving the fine panel lines, antennas and access panels that define the real aircraft.

Sustained Display Behaviour

The officially licensed finish resists fading under normal indoor lighting, so the authentic markings stay sharp over years on a shelf. Robust diecast joints keep the landing gear and canopy secure through repeated handling, and the supplied stand holds the airframe stable without stressing the wingspan.

Questions about this item

How large is the 1/72 scale model once assembled on its stand?

The diecast measures roughly 10.5 inches long with a 17.25‑inch wingspan, so it occupies a noticeable footprint on a shelf or desk.

What does the 1/72 ratio actually represent for this U‑2S replica?

Every 72 inches on the real Dragon Lady equals one inch on the model, giving a faithful outline without overwhelming display space.

Which physical features must be attached or positioned before the model sits on the included stand?

Snap the detachable landing gear into place, optionally open the canopy, then lower the airframe onto the supplied display stand.
