Product identity

This Hobby Master diecast model reproduces the Northrop F-5F Tiger II wearing the 810834 Franken Tiger markings of VFC-111 Sundowners. The 1/72 scale replica arrives in original unopened packaging and includes a pilot figure, opening canopy and display stand. It is aimed at adult collectors and military-history enthusiasts who value officially licensed accuracy.

Scale constraints

At 1/72 the model measures roughly 7.75 inches long with a 4.5 inch wingspan, limiting the level of surface detail that can be rendered on panel lines and antennas. The mixed diecast metal and plastic construction provides weight and durability but prevents fully articulated moving parts beyond the canopy. Collectors needing larger-scale cockpit interiors or removable weapons will find this size restrictive.

Decisive specification

The defining attribute is the specific VFC-111 Sundowners Franken Tiger livery from 2023, which makes this release a unique representation of that adversary squadron aircraft. If your collection requires this exact unit marking, the model satisfies it; if you need a different F-5F variant or a generic airframe, this is not the correct item.
