Plug-In Swag Pendant for Dark Corners

This rectangular plug-in pendant adds light above tables or in corners where no ceiling wiring exists. The 17-foot black cord with grounded three-prong plug reaches distant outlets without an electrician. A rocker switch sits 13 inches from the plug for easy access. The textured oatmeal fabric shade measures 6.5 by 12 inches at top and bottom with a 9-inch slant height.

Replaces Hard-Wired Fixtures Without Rewiring

Swap a missing ceiling box for this portable kit when running new cable is impractical. The heavy-duty cord and included swag hooks support the shade securely from any ceiling point. The jump is worth it when you need immediate overhead light in a rental, a finished basement, or a workspace where the builder left no junction box.

Check Ceiling Hook Anchors and Bulb Choice

Verify your ceiling material can hold a screw-in hook for the swag hardware before ordering. The socket accepts one standard-base bulb up to 150 watts; choose an LED or CFL to stay cool inside the fabric drum. Ensure the 17-foot cord path stays clear of walkways and that the nearby outlet is grounded for the three-prong plug.
