HON 10500 Series Kneespace Credenza

The HON 10543NN credenza provides a 72-inch wide workspace with two 3/4-height pedestals. Each pedestal holds a box/file drawer configuration suited for letter-size hanging files. The unit targets home offices and small businesses that need integrated storage without a separate filing cabinet.

72-inch width and 24-inch depth footprint

The 72 by 24 inch dimensions set the practical limit for room placement and desktop area. A full-height modesty panel runs the width of the kneespace, reducing legroom depth slightly at the rear. Four drawers on steel ball-bearing suspensions require clearance in front of the unit for full extension.

Replaces separate desk and lateral file combinations

Buyers consolidating a writing desk and a two-drawer lateral file into one footprint gain surface continuity and a single lock system. The jump is worth it when floor space is tight and matching mahogany laminate finishes are required. It does not serve buyers who need a full-height pedestal bank or a standing-height work surface.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 72-inch wide model or a narrower credenza for my office layout?

The 10543NN measures 72 inches wide and 24 inches deep, so it fits a standard double-pedestal footprint; select this width when you need two 3/4-height pedestals with full file capacity.

How much usable storage does the 1 1/8-inch thick top and four-drawer layout actually give me?

The thermally fused laminate top supports monitors and peripherals while two box/file pedestals provide four drawers — two full-extension file drawers for hanging folders and two three-quarter box drawers for supplies.

Does the steel ball-bearing suspension meet a recognised durability standard for daily use?

Yes, the unit meets or exceeds ANSI/BIFMA standards and carries Level 2 and SCS Indoor Advantage Gold certification, confirming the suspensions and construction are rated for heavy commercial duty.
