HON 10700 Series Double Pedestal Credenza

This credenza provides a 72.00-inch wide work surface with a central kneespace and two 3/4-height pedestals. Each pedestal contains a box drawer and a file drawer, totalling four drawers for document storage. The unit stands 29.50 inches high and 24.00 inches deep, finished in Mahogany laminate. It suits private offices or open-plan layouts that need integrated filing beside the primary desk.

Waterfall edge, full-extension drawers

The high-pressure laminate top features rounded corners and a waterfall edge profile for durability. File drawers extend fully on steel ball-bearing suspensions while box drawers offer three-quarter extension. Hang rails inside file drawers accept both letter and legal hanging folders. Two grommets route cables through the worksurface and the HON One Key core removable lock secures both pedestals with a single key.

Verify 72-inch clearance

Measure the intended wall or floor area to confirm the 72.00-inch width and 24.00-inch depth will fit alongside existing furniture. Ensure the kneespace width meets the user's legroom requirements and that the 29.50-inch height aligns with adjacent worksurfaces. Buyers needing a single pedestal, a taller storage tower or a different laminate colour should consider other models in the range.

Questions about this item

Do the steel ball-bearing suspensions on the 10743NN credenza drawers need periodic lubrication?

The steel ball-bearing suspensions on the full-extension file and 3/4-extension box drawers are sealed and do not require lubrication; occasional cleaning of the tracks keeps them operating smoothly.

Will the 1-1/8 inch high-pressure laminate top resist daily coffee spills without delaminating?

The high-pressure laminate worksurface resists water, abrasions and most solvents, so routine spills wipe clean without damaging the 1-1/8 inch top or the waterfall edge.

How much heat does the credenza generate when equipment runs inside the kneespace all day?

The credenza itself produces no heat; its two cord-management grommets let you route power cables out so equipment heat vents into the room, not the cabinet.
