Mobile Pedestal File

The HON 33720RQ is a freestanding mobile pedestal file finished in Light Gray. It provides one file drawer and two box drawers for organised document storage in an office environment. The unit is designed to fit beneath standard HON Initiate, 38000 Series and 29-1/2" worksurfaces. It ships new and meets ANSI/BIFMA and ISTA performance standards.

Compatibility Check

Verify that your existing desk or worksurface offers at least 19-7/8" of clear depth to accommodate the pedestal. Ensure the surface height matches the supported HON Initiate, 38000 Series or 29-1/2" specifications for proper fit. Confirm the floor surface is suitable for fixed front casters and swivel rear casters. The integrated counterweight inhibits tipping when multiple drawers are opened simultaneously.

Build Integration

The pedestal uses ball-bearing suspension on the file drawer for 90 percent extension and roller suspension on box drawers for 75 percent extension. High-sided file drawer includes two crossrails for front-to-back letter-size hanging folders. Each box drawer supplies one adjustable divider and a pencil tray. The HON One Key interchangeable core-removable lock secures all drawers. Brigade Series 800 lateral-pull design allows easy access.

Questions about this item

Does the HON 33720RQ arrive fully assembled or do I need to buy any extra hardware?

The pedestal ships fully assembled with its core-removable lock, fixed front casters and swivel rear casters already installed; no additional hardware is required for basic use.

How do I decide between the box drawers and the file drawer for daily supplies?

The unit includes two box drawers with adjustable dividers and pencil trays for small items, plus one high-sided file drawer with two crossrails for letter-size hanging folders.

What does the 90 percent extension on the file drawer mean when the pedestal sits under a 29-1/2" worksurface?

The ball-bearing suspension lets the file drawer open 90 percent of its travel so you can reach the back folders while the pedestal remains under a 29-1/2" high worksurface.
