Mobile Pedestal for HON Worksurfaces

This mobile pedestal fits beneath standard HON Initiate, 38000 Series and 29.50" high worksurfaces. It provides two file drawers for letter-size hanging folders in a light gray finish. The unit suits offices that need secure, mobile filing directly at the desk.

Brigade 800 Pulls and One Key Lock

Radius pulls match the Brigade 800 Series lateral files for a consistent look. The HON One Key interchangeable lock core allows keyed-alike configurations across multiple units. Ball-bearing suspensions give 90 percent extension on file drawers and 75 percent on box drawers for full access.

Check Worksurface Height and Clearance

Verify your worksurface is 29.50" high so the 22.90" deep pedestal slides underneath without interference. Confirm the floor area accommodates the 15.00" width and 28.00" height with fixed front and swivel rear casters. The counterweight prevents tipping when both drawers open, but the pedestal must sit on a level surface.

Questions about this item

How often do the ball-bearing slides on the file drawers need lubrication?

The ball-bearing suspensions are factory-lubricated and require no routine maintenance under normal office use.

What stops the drawers from opening fully when the pedestal sits under a 29.50" worksurface?

The 90 percent extension on the file drawers is the built-in limit; the counterweight prevents tipping before the slides reach full travel.

How much heat does the unit add to a room when left stationary all day?

As a passive steel cabinet with no powered components, it generates no measurable heat during continuous use.
