Mobile pedestal with two file drawers

The HON 33823RS Efficiencies pedestal provides two file drawers on casters for mobile storage beneath a worksurface. Heavy-duty construction uses radius pulls that match Brigade 800 Series lateral files. High drawer sides support front-to-back letter-size filing. A counterweight helps prevent tipping when multiple drawers are open.

Who this suits and who it does not

Suits offices needing lockable, mobile filing that fits under a 29 1/2 inch high worksurface. The HON One Key interchangeable lock core allows keyed-alike sets across multiple units. Not suited for users who need box drawers for small supplies or a deeper cabinet than the 22 7/8 inch depth provides.

Deciding specification

Ball-bearing suspensions give file drawers 90% extension and box drawers 75% extension, so consider whether that reach meets your access needs. Fixed front casters and swivel rear casters determine manoeuvrability on carpet or hard floor. The charcoal gray finish coordinates with existing HON furniture collections.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the drawers are operating correctly after assembly?

Open each drawer fully — the file drawer should extend about 90 % of its depth on ball-bearing slides, the box drawer about 75 %, both moving smoothly without binding, and the counterweight should keep the unit stable when both are open.

What ships with the pedestal and what must I purchase separately?

The unit arrives fully assembled with radius pulls, the HON One Key interchangeable lock core installed, fixed front casters and swivel rear casters; no additional hardware or accessories are required for basic use.

Which finish should I select to match Brigade 800 Series laterals?

Choose the Charcoal Gray finish — it is the only colour offered for this model and is designed to complement the Brigade 800 Series lateral files.
