HON 510 Series Two-Drawer Vertical File

The HON 512PL is a letter-width vertical filing cabinet designed for offices that need secure, high-density document storage in a compact footprint. Its solid-steel construction and four vertical reinforcements create a rigid structure suited to daily archival use.

Thermals noise and power draw

As a passive steel cabinet the unit generates no heat, emits no noise and draws no electrical power during normal operation. The full cradle drawer suspension keeps drawers gliding smoothly without mechanical assistance or added energy cost.

Included accessories and their impact

Each drawer supplies 23 1/2 filing inches of capacity and includes high sides, label holders and thumb latches for organised retrieval. The double-walled front kickplate guards against foot impact, preserving drawer alignment over time.

Questions about this item

How do I level the 512PL cabinet on an uneven floor and what step is often missed?

Use the adjustable glides on each corner; the step most people skip is checking front-to-back and side-to-side level with a spirit level before loading any files.

Which part of the 512PL is most likely to need attention after years of daily opening and closing?

The full cradle drawer suspension bearings can wear over time; lubricating the slides annually keeps the drawers gliding smoothly.

At what point does the 512PL show its limit when both drawers are fully loaded and opened repeatedly?

Each drawer holds 23 filing inches; exceeding that capacity stresses the full cradle suspension and can cause binding or sagging.
