Brigade 600 Series Two-Drawer Lateral File

The HON 682LP is a black two-drawer lateral file built for high-activity filing in corporations, schools, hospitals and government offices. A fully enclosed base resists tampering while the rugged inner steel grid withstands years of rigorous daily use.

36-inch Width with Side-to-Side Hangrails

Side-to-side hangrails accommodate letter or legal folders across the 36-inch width, and optional front-to-back rails can be added for high-density letter filing. The mechanical interlock prevents more than one drawer opening at once, while the counterweight maintains stability when a drawer is extended.

Heavy-Duty Ball-Bearing Suspensions

Drawers ride on heavy-duty ball-bearing suspensions tested to simulate decades of cycles and still perform flawlessly. All four leveling glides adjust even when drawers are full, and removable lock cores can be changed on location. A Bright Aluminum handle coordinates with Brigade pedestals.

Questions about this item

Will the 36-inch-wide 682LP sit securely next to my existing 600 Series pedestals without extra counterweights?

The unit ships with factory-installed counterweights where required, so it remains stable when a drawer is opened and aligns with other 600 Series pieces.

How can I verify the ball-bearing suspensions and mechanical interlock are functioning correctly after assembly?

Open each drawer fully — they should glide on the heavy-duty ball-bearing slides, and the interlock will prevent the second drawer from opening while the first is extended.

Does the box include front-to-back hangrails for high-density letter filing, or must I order them separately?

Side-to-side hangrails for letter or legal filing are standard; front-to-back hangrails are optional and must be purchased separately.
