36-Inch Three-Drawer Lateral File

The HON 683LL 600 Series lateral file provides three full-extension drawers in a 36-inch wide putty cabinet. It accepts letter or legal hanging folders for high-volume document storage. The all-weld steel case and double-walled base deliver structural rigidity for daily office use. A built-in counterweight and interlock system allow only one drawer open at a time to prevent tipping.

Steel Ball-Bearing Suspension Limits

Heavy-duty steel ball-bearing slides enable smooth, quiet drawer travel under full loads. The two-sided lock mechanism secures all three drawers simultaneously for document security. The interlock design physically prevents a second drawer from opening while one is extended. These mechanical constraints define the safe operating envelope of the cabinet.

Capacity and Stability Headroom

Three drawers accommodate substantial letter or legal filing volume within a compact 19-inch deep footprint. The counterweight stabilises the unit when the bottom drawer is fully loaded and extended. The double-walled base resists tampering and adds rigidity under maximum fill. The cabinet handles continuous high-activity filing without structural compromise.
