Five-drawer lateral file with posting shelf

The HON 795LL 700 Series cabinet provides five drawers in a 42w putty finish. Four fixed front drawers handle letter-size or legal-size folders for side-to-side filing. The top opening includes a roll-out shelf and a built-in posting shelf for active documents. A counterweight is included for stability.

Suits offices needing high-density filing

This unit serves workspaces that want lateral filing plus a roll-out shelf for sorting or spreading papers. The mechanical interlock allows only one drawer open at a time, which helps prevent tipping. Buyers who need vertical drawer orientation or a smaller footprint should consider other configurations.

Full-face integral pulls with core-removable lock

Contemporary full-face integral drawer pulls give a clean front appearance. The core-removable lock allows key changes without replacing the entire mechanism. The cabinet meets or exceeds applicable ANSI/BIFMA standards and holds SCS indoor air-quality certification.

Questions about this item

Which HON 700 Series lateral file should I pick for a 42-inch wide space?

The 795LL model is built at 42 inches wide, includes a counterweight, and provides five drawers with a roll-out shelf and posting shelf in a putty finish.

How does the mechanical interlock work when the cabinet is fully loaded?

The interlock mechanism permits only one drawer to open at a time, preventing tip-over even when all four fixed drawers and the roll-out shelf hold letter or legal folders.

What does SCS indoor air-quality certification mean for daily office use?

SCS certification confirms the cabinet meets specific low-emission requirements, so it contributes to healthier indoor air without affecting filing capacity or lock operation.
