Four-Drawer Lateral File Cabinet

The HON 884LP is a four-drawer lateral file from the 800 Series designed for letter and legal document storage. Steel ball-bearing suspension on three-part telescoping rails provides smooth drawer travel. A mechanical interlock permits only one drawer to open at a time. Four adjustable leveling glides compensate for uneven flooring.

High-Capacity Letter and Legal Filing

Suits offices that need side-to-side hanging rails for both letter and legal folders in a single unit. The magnetic label holder on each drawer front supports quick identification. Buyers who require front-to-back filing rails or a smaller footprint should consider other configurations.

36-Inch Wide Black Finish

Overall dimensions are 36 inches wide, 19 inches deep and 53 inches high in a black finish. The removable core lock uses the HON One Key interchangeable system. Verify the available floor space and clearance before ordering.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the 884LP lateral file generate when drawers are opened and closed all day?

The steel ball-bearing suspension keeps operation quiet and the cabinet itself produces no heat, so it adds nothing to room temperature or background noise.

What flooring preparation or existing hardware is required before the 884LP can be used?

Four adjustable leveling glides are built in, so the file stands securely on any uneven floor without extra shims or mounting brackets.

Will the 36-inch wide drawers of the 884LP accept the letter-size folders I already keep in older cabinets?

Yes, each drawer includes side-to-side hangrails that hold both letter and legal folders, matching the filing format of your existing storage.
