Task light for 48" unit

The HON H870942 task light is designed to mount under 48-inch-wide HON stack-on storage units and shelves. It installs in the recess using spring steel clips and includes bulbs with a 9-foot black cord exiting the right rear corner. The unit meets or exceeds ANSI/BIFMA performance standards for office lighting.

Upgrade from basic lighting

This task light replaces reliance on overhead or desk lamps that do not integrate with modular storage. The jump is worth it when you need dedicated illumination built into the HON system, reducing glare on work surfaces and freeing up desk space. The fixed cord position and clip mounting suit permanent or semi-permanent desking layouts.

Suits HON modular desking

It suits offices using HON 48-inch stack-on units or shelves that accept recessed clip-in lighting. Buyers who need adjustable arms, dimming controls, or a different cord length should look at something else. It is not for freestanding use, non-HON furniture, or installations without a recessed mounting cavity.
