Built for high-activity filing

This HON 684LP lateral file belongs to the Brigade 600 Series and is engineered for environments with frequent document access. Four full-extension drawers accept letter or legal hanging folders side by side. A double-walled base adds rigidity and resists tampering in shared offices. The counterweight is included to maintain stability when multiple drawers are open.

Sustained daily operation

The drawer suspension is rated for repeated full-extension cycles without binding, so the cabinet performs consistently during peak filing periods. Ball-bearing slides keep motion smooth even when drawers are heavily loaded. The reinforced case structure prevents racking over time, maintaining alignment across all four drawers. Bright aluminum handles coordinate with other Brigade pedestals for a uniform workspace.

Thermals noise and power

As a passive steel storage unit, the cabinet generates no heat, noise or electrical draw. The powder-coat black finish resists scratches and fingerprints under normal office lighting. No ventilation clearance or power planning is required beyond the 19.25-inch depth and 36-inch width footprint. The 53.25-inch height fits under standard suspended ceilings.

Questions about this item

Does the counterweight included with the HON 684LP prevent tipping when all four drawers are fully extended during long workdays?

Yes, the factory-supplied counterweight is designed to keep the 36-inch wide cabinet stable even when multiple drawers are open at once.

Must the floor be level and able to support a 36-inch wide, 53.25-inch tall steel cabinet before the 684LP can be used safely?

The unit sits on four adjustable glides that compensate for minor floor unevenness, but the surface must bear the full weight of the loaded lateral file.

Will the Bright Aluminum handles on this 600 Series lateral match the pulls on my existing Brigade pedestals?

The handles are finished in Bright Aluminum specifically to coordinate with other Brigade series pedestals and storage pieces.
