Desk Dimensions and Layout

The HON P3262CL Metro Classic is a 60-inch wide double pedestal desk with a 30-inch depth and a 29.5-inch height. Its rectangular laminate top sits on colour-matched metal legs and includes a centre drawer plus two box/file pedestals on each side. This configuration suits private offices or home workspaces that need generous surface area and integrated storage.

Surface Durability and Cable Management

The 1 1/8-inch thick laminated worksurface resists scratches and stains for daily use. Worksurface grommets route cables cleanly through the top, while flush side and modesty panels keep wiring hidden and add visual privacy. The finish meets Level 2, ANSI/BIFMA and SCS Indoor Advantage standards for indoor air quality and structural performance.

Drawer Function and Security

Full-extension cradle suspension on the file drawers and three-quarter nylon rollers on the box drawers provide smooth access to letter-size folders. A universal-lock centre drawer secures all five drawers with a single key turn. Buyers needing lateral file capacity or a standing-height frame will need a different product.

Questions about this item

How do I install the HON P3262CL desk and which step is commonly missed?

Assemble the metal base frame, attach the 1-1/8" thick laminate top with supplied hardware, then install the two pedestals; the step often missed is locking the center drawer first to align the universal lock mechanism across all five drawers.

What maintenance will the HON P3262CL need over time?

Lubricate the nylon rollers on the three-quarter-extension box drawers and the triple-tied cradle slides on the file drawers annually; check the spring-loaded follower block in each file drawer for tension and tighten any loose hardware on the metal base.

What is the first limitation you hit when using the HON P3262CL heavily every day?

The box drawers only extend three-quarters on nylon rollers, so the rear contents become harder to reach during sustained high-volume use compared to the full-extension file drawers.
