Honeywell Granit XP 1990iXR Ultra-Rugged Scanner

The Honeywell Granit XP 1990iXR is an ultra-rugged area-imaging scanner built for extreme environments. It reads barcodes reliably in harsh industrial and outdoor settings. This device suits logistics, warehousing, and field-service teams needing durable data capture.

Replaces less rugged scanners in high-drop

Standard scanners often fail after repeated drops or exposure to dust and moisture. The 1990iXR withstands tough handling that would damage conventional units. The upgrade is worth it when downtime from broken hardware costs more than the rugged premium.

Limited by wired connection

The scanner relies on a physical cable for data and power, restricting operator mobility. It does not support wireless protocols or battery operation. Fixed-mount setups may need extra brackets not included in the base configuration.

Questions about this item

Does the Honeywell 1990IXR3N include a mounting bracket or stand for fixed-position scanning?

The Honeywell Granit XP 1990iXR is a handheld area-imaging scanner designed for mobile use; fixed-mount brackets are sold separately as accessories.

What is the correct way to pair the 1990IXR3N with a host device, and what step do users often skip?

Connect the supplied USB cable to the host, allow the driver to enumerate, then scan the factory-default configuration code in the quick-start guide to lock the interface; skipping the configuration scan leaves the scanner in an unrecognised mode.

Which wear items on the 1990IXR3N will need replacement after heavy daily use?

The exit window and trigger assembly are field-replaceable; Honeywell offers service kits for both so the scanner stays in service after intensive scanning cycles.
