Honor 60 SE 5G Unlocked Smartphone

The Honor 60 SE 5G is a factory-unlocked Android 11 handset built around the MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G chipset with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. It targets buyers who want a single device that handles 5G connectivity, a high-refresh OLED screen and a versatile triple-camera system without carrier restrictions. There is no microSD slot, so storage cannot be expanded after purchase.

Thermals and Battery Performance

A 4300 mAh battery powers the 6.67 inch 120 Hz OLED panel and the 6 nm octa-core processor through typical daily workloads. The 66 W wired charger replenishes the cell quickly over the USB Type-C 2.0 port. No figures for sustained thermal throttling or acoustic output are supplied, so buyers who need detailed thermal benchmarks should look elsewhere.

Build and Daily Connectivity

The glass-and-metal body measures 161.3 x 73.4 x 7.7 mm and weighs 175 g, with an under-display optical fingerprint sensor for unlocking. Dual nano-SIM trays support dual standby on GSM, CDMA, HSPA, LTE and 5G networks. The device lacks a 3.5 mm headphone jack, NFC and FM radio, so wired audio requires a USB-C adapter and contactless payments are not supported.

Questions about this item

How do I insert the dual Nano-SIM cards into the Honor 60 SE 5G, and which step do people often miss?

Use the ejector pin on the tray along the frame, seat both Nano-SIMs with the gold contacts facing down, then push the tray fully home; the step most skip is verifying that both SIMs show signal bars before assuming the tray is locked.

What maintenance will the 4300 mAh battery and 66 W charger need over time?

The sealed 4300 mAh cell is not user-replaceable; keep the USB Type-C 2.0 port free of lint and use the supplied 66 W adapter to preserve charge-cycle health, as third-party bricks can accelerate capacity loss.

At what point does the Dimensity 900 chipset throttle during extended heavy use?

Sustained loads push the octa-core CPU and Mali-G68 MC4 GPU until the 7.7 mm chassis reaches its thermal ceiling, at which point clock speeds drop to protect the 6 nm silicon — typically after several minutes of continuous gaming or recording 1080p@30fps video.
