Built for 2D fighting precision

The HORI SPF-023U Fighting Commander OCTA is a wired pro controller designed for fighting games on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC. It uses top-quality components including Micro Switch buttons for accuracy and durability. A Short Throw Analog Stick with an 8-way gate increases execution speed. The 10ft cable ensures quick response time.

Suits players who want a dedicated fightpad

This pad fits competitors who prefer a six-button layout and an industry-best D-Pad with adjustable sensitivity for 2D titles. The HORI Device Manager companion app allows button reassignment and up to 4 unique profiles. Builders who need wireless freedom or a standard gamepad layout for 3D action games should look at something else.

Wired USB connection with 10ft cable

The fixed 10ft cable provides a direct link to the console or PC with no battery to charge. Officially Licensed by Sony, it guarantees compatibility across the supported platforms. A headset input and onboard audio controls are integrated for voice chat convenience.

Questions about this item

How does the short-throw analog stick with an 8-way gate affect execution in fighting games?

The shorter throw and 8-way gate let you hit diagonals and cardinal directions with less finger travel, so quarter-circles and dragon-punch motions come out faster and more consistently.

What does the 10 ft wired connection cap in practice?

The 10 ft cable gives a stable, latency-free link to PS5, PS4 or PC without battery concerns, but it limits how far you can sit from the console or PC.

What do I need on my setup to mount or secure this fightpad?

The controller is designed for handheld use; no mounting hardware or brackets are included, so you only need a flat surface or your lap to play.
