Angled 3.5 mm to XLR connection

This cable connects a professional microphone with an XLR output to a 3.5 mm stereo input on cameras or portable recorders. The angled male plug reduces strain on the device jack. It is sold as a pair of fifteen-foot cables for dual-channel capture.

Fixed length limits placement

The fifteen-foot length sets a maximum distance between the microphone and the recording device. Users needing longer runs or balanced line-level connections will require a different solution. No power or phantom supply is carried by this cable.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 3.5 mm angled male plug into a DV camera input without stressing the jack?

Align the angled 3.5 mm male connector with the camera's stereo mini jack and insert it straight in until it clicks; the right-angle design keeps the cable running parallel to the body so the jack is not levered sideways.

What maintenance will the XLR female ends need after repeated session use?

Inspect the 3-pin XLR female contacts for oxidation or bent pins after heavy use; a quick spray of contact cleaner and gentle straightening with a precision tool restores reliable connection without replacing the 15 ft cable.
