2U 12-Bay Expander Chassis for High-Density Storage

This 2U rackmount server chassis holds twelve 3.5-inch hot-swap drive bays with a 12Gb/s expander backplane. It targets IT teams building dense storage nodes for cloud, big data or surveillance workloads. The 1.0 mm SGCC zinc-coated steel frame meets EMC design standards to limit electromagnetic interference in crowded racks.

Build Integration with E-ATX Boards and Redundant

The chassis accepts motherboards up to 12 x 13 inches, covering E-ATX form factors, and provides seven full-height PCI/PCIe slots for HBAs, NICs or accelerators. A 2U standard or redundant power supply fits the rear, while three included 8038 ball-bearing fans occupy three of four 8 cm mounts. Front-panel USB 2.0 ports, with optional USB 3.0, give local media access.

Backplane Options and Monitoring LEDs

The backplane family spans 6Gb/s SATA, 6Gb/s and 12Gb/s Mini SAS, plus 6Gb/s and 12Gb/s expander variants, each with an onboard temperature-control chipset. System-control LEDs cover power, reset, HDD activity, dual NIC status, UID, overheat or fan failure and power-failure alerts. No drive carriers, rails or operating-system software are bundled.
