A 2U rackmount chassis holding twelve hot-swap 3.5" SAS/SATA drives with a 12Gb/s backplane and seven full-height expansion slots
The HOTCFWQ 2U rackmount server chassis fits twelve 3.5-inch hot-swap drive bays in a 19-inch frame. It supports SAS and SATA drives up to 6Gb/s across multiple backplane options with integrated temperature control. The steel enclosure measures 437.5mm wide by 650mm deep by 88mm high and accepts motherboards up to 12 by 13 inches.
This unit suits deployments that need high drive counts in a shallow 2U profile, such as cloud storage, big data, or security monitoring clusters. The seven full-height PCIe slots allow add-in controllers or networking cards. Builders who need a tower form factor, a deeper enclosure for long GPUs, or more than twelve drive bays should look at a different platform.
The critical choice is the backplane speed: a 12Gb/s mini-SAS or expander backplane doubles the per-lane bandwidth of the standard 6Gb/s versions and determines which controllers and drives can run at their rated throughput. Selecting the 12Gb/s variant is the single specification that decides whether this chassis matches the performance target.
