2U 12-Bay SAS Server Chassis

This 2U rackmount chassis holds twelve 3.5-inch hot-swap drive bays and supports SAS or SATA drives. It fits a standard 19-inch rack and is built from 1.0 mm SGCC zinc-coated steel. The unit includes three 8038 ball-bearing fans with an optional fourth fan position. It accepts a motherboard up to 12 by 10.5 inches and provides seven full-height PCIe slots.

12Gb/s Mini SAS Backplane Limits

The backplane operates at 12Gb/s over Mini SAS and includes a temperature control chipset. It also supports 6Gb/s SATA and 6Gb/s Mini SAS modes. Drive bays are rated for SAS and SATA at 6Gb/s, so 12Gb/s SAS drives will run at the backplane speed but individual bay throughput stays at 6Gb/s. Front USB ports are 2.0 with optional 3.0.

Twelve Hot-Swap 3.5-Inch Bays
