What this cable does

This HOTNOW USB 3.0 extension cable adds 1.5 ft of reach between a USB Type-A port and a USB Type-A device. The two-pack suits anyone who regularly connects webcams, keyboards, mice, external drives or gamepads and wants to avoid stressing the host port.

Speed and distance

Rated at 10 Gbps, the cable handles USB 3.0 data transfers and charging up to 2 A. It is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices, so older peripherals still work at their native speeds. The 1.5 ft length is intended for desktop or near-device extensions rather than long runs.

Durability and limits

Nylon braiding and a 20000-bend rating give the cable a tough, tangle-resistant build for frequent plugging and unplugging. The USB 3.0 specification caps practical cable length, so this extender is not designed for daisy-chaining or runs beyond the standard's reach. It simply extends a single connection without adding hubs or repeaters.

Questions about this item

Will the 1.5FT USB 3.0 extension work with my older USB 2.0 printer and keyboard?

Yes, the cable is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices, so your existing peripherals will function normally at their own speeds.

How can I verify the 10Gbps transfer rate is active after connecting the cable?

Check your operating system's device manager or system report; it should list the connection as USB 3.0 or SuperSpeed when the cable and both ports support the standard.

Does the 2-pack include only the two braided cables or are adapters also supplied?

The box contains two 1.5FT USB 3.0 A-Male to A-Female extension cables and nothing else; no extra adapters or accessories are included.
