Purpose & Audience

The HOTUTUKI USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 cable delivers 20Gbps data transfer and 100W Power Delivery for users who need full-feature connectivity between USB-C devices. It suits professionals moving large files to external SSDs or driving 4K monitors from laptops and tablets. Buyers who need longer reach than two metres or who require legacy USB-A connectors should look elsewhere.

Sustained Performance

The integrated E-marker chip negotiates up to 20V/5A for consistent 100W charging and maintains 20Gbps throughput during extended transfers, matching the speed of a 96W original charger when paired with a compatible host. Video output holds 4K at 60Hz without frame drops provided the source port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode. Backward compatibility with USB 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0 ensures stable fallback speeds.

Build & Daily Use

A 90-degree L-shaped plug reduces strain in tight spaces such as desk corners or vehicle mounts while the braided nylon jacket resists wear through 10000 bend and insertion cycles. USB-IF certified connectors guarantee reliable mating across repeated plugging. The two-metre length balances reach and signal integrity for typical desk or bedside setups.

Questions about this item

Does the 2 m right-angle cable get warm or draw extra power when running a 100 W charge all day?

The cable is rated for 100 W (20 V/5 A) Power Delivery and uses an E-marker chip to regulate current, so it handles continuous full-power charging without overheating.

What must my device’s USB‑C port support to use the 20 Gbps data, 100 W charging and 4K video features?

The host port needs USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 for 20 Gbps data, Power Delivery for up to 100 W charging, and DisplayPort Alternate Mode for 4K @ 60 Hz video output.

Will this cable work at full speed with my older laptop that only has USB 3.1 or USB 3.0 ports?

Yes, it is backward compatible with USB 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0, but data will run at the older port’s maximum speed rather than the cable’s 20 Gbps ceiling.
