10 Gbps SFP+ Network Card

This HP 10G-1S PCIe adapter adds a single 10 Gbps SFP+ port to servers or workstations. It uses the Intel 82599EN controller, the same silicon found in the Intel X520-DA1. The low-profile bracket fits compact chassis and it ships with a driver CD for Windows installation.

Capacity and Headroom

The card delivers sustained 10 Gbps throughput for NAS file transfers, VM live migration and iSCSI storage traffic. It handles high-bandwidth server workloads without bottlenecking the PCIe x4 or x8 slot. The single port limits total aggregate bandwidth to 10 Gbps, so multi-link aggregation or higher-speed uplinks are not possible.

PCIe Interface Limits

The adapter operates in PCIe x4 or x8 slots and is natively recognised by Proxmox VE, TrueNAS, VMware ESXi and major Linux distributions. Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022 and Windows 10 or 11 require the standard Intel X520 driver package. It does not support RJ45 copper twisted-pair connections directly.
