Everyday laptop for light tasks

This HP 14 laptop runs on an Intel Celeron N4500 processor with a turbo frequency of 2.8 GHz and 8GB DDR4 memory. It ships with Windows 11 Pro on a 128GB PCIe NVMe SSD. The 14.0 inch HD display has a 1366 x 768 resolution at 60Hz. It suits students or home users who need a new device for web browsing, document editing and video calls.

Connectivity and ports included

WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 handle wireless connections. The chassis provides an HDMI port, a USB 3.2 Type-C port, an SD card reader and a headphone or microphone combo jack. A 720p webcam and a standard keyboard are built in. A 45W power supply and a 3-cell 41 WHr battery complete the package.

Check your workflow and storage needs

The 128GB drive fills quickly with large media libraries or many applications. The dual-core Celeron is not suited to heavy multitasking, video rendering or modern gaming. The screen is not a touchscreen. Buyers who want more storage, a higher resolution panel or a discrete GPU should consider other configurations.

Questions about this item

Can the 8GB DDR4 SODIMM be upgraded later?

The 8GB DDR4 SODIMM is the only memory installed; the supplier data does not confirm an accessible slot or maximum capacity.

What limits performance first during long sessions with the Celeron N4500?

The dual-core 1.10GHz processor with 2.8GHz turbo and 4MB cache reaches its thermal ceiling before the 45W adapter or 41 WHr battery become constraints.

How loud and hot does the chassis get when the 14.0" 60Hz display runs all day?

The passively cooled design stays silent; the 45W power supply and 41 WHr battery keep surface temperatures modest during typical workloads.
