HP 15.6" Touchscreen Laptop

This 15.6-inch laptop pairs a 10th Generation Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor with 8 GB DDR4 memory and a 256 GB NVMe SSD. It ships new with Windows 10 Home and includes an HP wireless mouse. The HD IPS anti-glare touchscreen offers a 1366 x 768 resolution for everyday interaction.

Suitable for general home and office tasks

The quad-core processor runs at a 1.0 GHz base frequency and reaches 3.6 GHz with Turbo Boost, handling web browsing, document editing and media playback smoothly. The 8 GB memory is not user-accessible for expansion, so buyers who need more RAM should consider a different system. A non-backlit keyboard and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity complete the core feature set.

256 GB NVMe SSD storage

The solid-state drive uses a PCIe NVMe M.2 interface for fast boot times and application loading. Capacity is fixed at 256 GB with no secondary drive bay mentioned, so users storing large media libraries will require external storage. The single USB 3.1 Type-C port supports data transfer up to 5 Gb/s alongside two USB 3.1 Type-A ports and HDMI 1.4b output.

Questions about this item

Is the 8 GB DDR4 memory soldered or can I upgrade it later?

The single 8 GB DDR4-2666 module is not user-accessible, so the memory cannot be expanded after purchase.

What thermal limit appears first when the Core i5-1035G1 runs at its 3.6 GHz boost for long periods?

The 15 W processor will hit its power and temperature ceiling, causing clock speeds to drop below the maximum turbo frequency.

How loud does the cooling fan get during an all-day workload?

The fan spins up under sustained load but remains at a moderate office-friendly level because the 15 W chip and compact chassis limit peak heat output.
