A 17.3-inch business laptop with a quad-core Intel Core i5-10210U processor, 8GB DDR4 memory, 1TB NVMe storage and Linux Mint Cinnamon pre-installed
This HP 17 Business Laptop runs Linux Mint Cinnamon on an Intel Core i5-10210U quad-core processor with a turbo frequency of 3.4 GHz. It includes 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD for fast storage. The 17.3-inch display has a 1600 x 900 resolution and a non-touch anti-glare finish.
It suits office workers and students who need a large screen for documents, web browsing and video calls on a Linux desktop. The DVD+-RW burner and SD card reader support legacy media and quick file transfers. Buyers who want a touchscreen, a higher-resolution panel or a dedicated graphics chip should look elsewhere.
The Intel UHD Graphics 620 uses shared system memory and is built for 2D productivity, not 3D rendering or modern gaming. If your workload needs discrete GPU performance, this laptop will not meet that need.

The 1TB NVMe drive comes factory-installed in the M.2 slot. The step people miss is enabling the NVMe controller in the BIOS before the Linux Mint installer can see the drive.
The 8GB DDR4 is soldered to the board, so it cannot be upgraded or replaced. The only memory-related maintenance is keeping the OS and browser caches trimmed to stay within the 8GB limit.
The UHD 620 shares system memory and has no dedicated VRAM. Under sustained 3D or video-encode loads it throttles once the shared memory pool saturates, dropping clock speeds to stay within its thermal envelope.
