HP 17bII+ Financial Calculator 22-Digit LCD

This bundle supplies two HP 17bII+ financial calculators for students and professionals in real estate, accounting, banking, finance and business studies. Each unit provides over 250 built-in functions covering loan payments, interest conversions, TVM, NPV, IRR, cash flows and bonds. The 22-character, two-line LCD with adjustable contrast shows entries clearly, while 28 KB of user memory stores data and programs. Both RPN and algebraic entry modes are supported.

Sustained Use With Battery Power Off Memory

Each calculator runs on two CR2032 cells rated for roughly one year at one hour of daily use, and the auto-off timer blanks the display after five minutes of inactivity. Power-off memory protection preserves stored values and settings during battery changes or idle periods, so long sessions in exams or client meetings do not lose work. The click-style angled keys reduce accidental presses during rapid, repeated data entry across extended workloads.

Quick Setup And Common Pitfalls

Units ship with batteries installed and a quick-start guide, so they are ready to use after removing the protective tab; the included premium pouch protects the angled keypad in transit. The only frequent issue is forgetting the five-minute auto-off, which clears the display but not memory — pressing any key restores the screen instantly. Replacing the two CR2032 cells once a year maintains continuous operation.

Questions about this item

Does the HP 17bII+ make any noise or generate heat if I leave it running all day?

The calculator has no fan or moving parts, so it runs silently and produces no noticeable heat during continuous use.

What must I already own for the two HP 17bII+ units to work right out of the box?

Nothing extra is required; each unit ships with two CR2032 batteries installed and a quick-start guide.

Can I transfer programs or data from an older HP financial calculator I still keep into the 17bII+?

The 17bII+ has no cable or wireless link, so direct transfer from another model is not possible; you would need to re-enter data manually.
