20-Port PoE+ Module for HP Switches

This module adds twenty Gigabit Ethernet ports with Power over Ethernet Plus to compatible HP zl-series chassis. It targets network administrators who need to deploy IP phones, wireless access points or cameras without separate power injectors. The two SFP+ uplinks provide fibre aggregation for the access-layer traffic.

Sustained PoE Delivery Across All Ports

The unit supplies PoE+ on every RJ-45 interface simultaneously, maintaining the 1 Gbps data rate while powering attached devices continuously. Thermal design handles the combined load without throttling port speed during extended operation. Uplink fibres carry the aggregated stream without introducing latency spikes under full utilisation.

Chassis Upgrade for PoE Density

This card replaces non-PoE or lower-density line cards in an existing zl chassis, instantly adding powered ports without new rack space. The jump is worthwhile when the current switch lacks enough PoE budget for new endpoints or when copper uplinks must be migrated to SFP+ fibre. Buyers without a zl chassis or without PoE requirements gain nothing from this module.
