Compact desktop for office tasks

The HP 600 G2 Mini uses an Intel Core i5-6500T running at 2.50 GHz with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 240GB SSD. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed. It suits small workspaces that need a quiet PC for everyday productivity.

Low thermal output and silent running

The low-power processor keeps heat and fan noise minimal during typical document, web and email workloads. Power draw stays modest so the unit runs cool in confined spaces without requiring extra ventilation.

Essential connectivity built in

Front and rear USB ports plus a headset jack give immediate access for peripherals. A Gigabit network port, VGA, DisplayPort and HDMI support wired internet and up to two external displays without adapters.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 16GB DDR4 memory in the 600 G2 Mini and which step is often missed?

Open the chassis, align the DDR4 SO-DIMM notch with the slot key, press firmly until the side clips click, then replace the cover; the step often missed is pressing hard enough to engage both retention clips.

What maintenance or replacement will the 240GB SSD need later?

The 240GB SSD has no moving parts, so no mechanical maintenance is required; replacement is only needed if capacity runs out or the drive reaches its write endurance limit.

What limit appears first on the i5-6500T at 2.50 GHz during sustained heavy workloads?

The compact Mini chassis and its integrated cooler reach their thermal capacity first, causing the CPU to reduce frequency to stay within safe temperatures.
