ECC registered DDR3 DIMM running at 1600 MHz for HP G8 servers
This HP 647648-571 module provides 4GB of DDR3 ECC registered memory for compatible G8 servers. It operates at 1600MHz with a CL11 latency and uses a single-rank design. The DIMM is sold new and ready for installation in supported systems. Builders needing non-ECC or unbuffered memory should look elsewhere.
Upgrading from smaller DDR3 modules or slower speeds increases available memory bandwidth for virtualisation and database workloads. The jump is worthwhile when the server board supports 1600MHz registered ECC and the application benefits from the extra capacity. Systems requiring higher densities or different form factors cannot use this module.

The module is a standard DDR3 DIMM, so it fits any server board with DDR3 slots; the 1×4 GB single-rank layout occupies one slot.
Enable ECC support in the BIOS after seating the module; without it the registered DIMM will post but error correction stays inactive.
