16 GB DDR3 1600 ECC registered module with CL11 latency for ProLiant SL250s Gen8 servers
This 16GB DDR3 module runs at 1600 MT/s with CL11 latency. It is built as a 2Rx4 registered DIMM with ECC for data integrity. The kit targets HPE ProLiant SL250s Gen8 base 2U left and right tray servers.
Registered DDR3 DIMMs draw modest power and run within standard JEDEC voltage limits. Error-correcting logic adds negligible heat during typical server workloads. No active cooling is required beyond normal chassis airflow.
The module replaces lower-capacity or non-ECC DDR3 DIMMs in compatible SL250s Gen8 trays. The jump is worth it when workloads demand maximum registered capacity per slot and ECC protection. It is not for systems that require unbuffered memory or a different DDR generation.

Align the notch on the 240-Pin DDR3 module with the slot key, press firmly until both retention clips click, then verify the registered ECC module is recognised in the BIOS memory map.
The 16GB DDR3 1600 CL11 module has no moving parts; replacement is only required if a memory error appears in the system event log or a capacity upgrade is planned.
The CL11 latency at DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) sets the timing ceiling; sustained throughput cannot exceed the rated 12800 MB/s per module.
