Questions about this item

Does the HP 730704-001 ship with a drive caddy or mounting screws for a 2.5 in bay?

The unit is supplied as the bare 2.5 in SAS hard drive only; any carrier, bracket or screws required by your server or enclosure must be sourced separately.

Is the E7W47A 1.2 TB 10000 RPM model the only capacity and speed offered under part 730704-001?

Yes, part 730704-001 corresponds to a single 1.2 TB capacity spinning at 10000 RPM with a dual-port 6G SAS interface.

What sustained throughput can I expect from the 6G SAS link once the drive is installed in an HP MSA array?

The 6G SAS interface supports up to 6 Gbit/s per port; actual sustained transfer will be limited by the 10000 RPM mechanics and the workload pattern in your array.
