On-Ear Stereo Headset

The HP 783P5AA EncorePro HW520D is a wired on-ear headset designed for voice communication. It uses a binaural ear-cup layout to deliver stereo sound to both ears. A noise-cancelling microphone reduces background sound during calls. The 2.58 ft cable connects directly to compatible devices.

Desk-Based Voice Users

This headset suits workers who spend long periods on calls at a fixed workstation and prefer an on-ear fit. The short wired cable limits movement, so it is not intended for users who need to walk around while talking. Buyers wanting wireless freedom or an over-ear design should consider other form factors.

2.58 ft Cable Length

The fixed cable measures 2.58 ft and determines how far the wearer can sit from the connection point. Measure the distance from your desk port to your head position before purchasing. If the reach is insufficient, a longer-cable or wireless model will be required.

Questions about this item

What type of connector does the HW520D need on my desk phone or PC for the 2.58 ft cable to plug in?

The HW520D uses a wired connection; check that your device has a matching headset jack for the supplied cable.

Will the noise-cancelling microphone still reduce background sound when I keep my older analog handset?

The microphone is built into the headset itself, so its noise-cancelling function works independently of the handset you pair it with.

How can I confirm the stereo audio is playing correctly through both ear-cups after I connect the HW520D?

Play a stereo test track and verify that left and right channels are heard separately in each ear-cup.
