HP EncorePro 520V headset overview

The HP EncorePro 520V is a wired binaural headset built for office and contact-centre workers who need reliable voice communication. It connects through a 3.5 mm mini-phone plug and sits on-ear with an over-the-head band for all-day wear. The stereo design handles calls from PC softphones or desk phones with a quick-disconnect lead.

20 Hz to 10 kHz voice bandwidth

The frequency response covers 20 Hz to 10 kHz, matching the range used for standard telephony and unified-communications platforms. Speech comes through clearly for calls and conferences, while music or multimedia content loses detail above 10 kHz. The voice-tube microphone focuses on close-talk pickup without digital processing.

Quick-disconnect upgrade for legacy QD systems

This model replaces older quick-disconnect headsets that lack a 3.5 mm connection or stereo output. The 2.58 ft cable reaches a desktop or laptop port without excess slack. Buyers who need USB-A, USB-C or inline call controls should look at the USB variants in the same series.

Questions about this item

Will the 3.5 mm plug work with my existing desk phone that uses a quick-disconnect cord?

The 520V uses a quick-disconnect interface on the headset side; the 3.5 mm mini-phone plug is on the opposite end for direct PC or phone connection.

How can I verify the 20 Hz to 10 kHz response is performing correctly after I plug it in?

Play a broadband test tone or make a test call; clear speech reproduction across the stated range confirms the drivers and voice tube are working.

Does the box include a USB-A or USB-C adapter, or must I buy one separately?

The 783P8AA#ABA is a QD model with a 3.5 mm cable only; no USB adapter is included, so purchase one separately if your PC lacks a 3.5 mm jack.
