Poly Blackwire 8225 — certified for Microsoft Teams

The Poly Blackwire 8225 is a wired, on-ear stereo headset built for professionals who spend long hours on calls. It carries Microsoft Teams certification and includes a dedicated Teams button for instant meeting access. A flexible, noise-cancelling microphone with Acoustic Fence technology keeps conversations clear in open offices. Hybrid active noise cancelling offers three selectable levels to match the surrounding environment.

Check USB port and wearing preference before

This model is available in USB Type-A or USB Type-C variants, so verify which port your computer provides. The headset weighs 186 g and uses a 7.10 ft cable, limiting movement to a fixed desk setup. Speakers pivot 180 degrees for a custom fit, but the on-ear design rests on the ears rather than enclosing them. Buyers who want a wireless headset or an over-ear seal should look elsewhere.

Sustained comfort and consistent audio through

Hybrid ANC maintains a steady noise floor without the pressure spikes that short bursts can create. The 32 Ohm drivers deliver a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response that stays balanced during extended sessions. Lightweight materials and the adjustable headband prevent fatigue over hours of continuous wear. The on-call indicator remains visible to colleagues, reducing interruptions without extra effort.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the Blackwire 8225 and do I need to buy any cables separately?

The headset includes a 7.10 ft cable with both USB Type A and USB Type C connectors, so no separate cable purchase is required for either port.

Which variant should I choose between the USB-A and USB-C versions of the 8225?

This single model ships with both USB-A and USB-C connectors on the same cable, so you do not need to pick a variant; it works with either port.

What does the 32 Ohm impedance mean for daily use on a laptop or phone?

At 32 Ohm the 8225 is easy to drive from standard laptop or phone audio outputs, delivering the rated 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response without an external amplifier.
