HP 800 G4 Mini Desktop

The HP 800 G4 Mini is a compact desktop computer built around an Intel Core i5-8500T processor running at 2.10 GHz. It ships with 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 128GB solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed and the unit comes in a black chassis without a monitor.

Suited for office and education deployments

This configuration fits standard productivity workloads such as document editing, web browsing and video conferencing. The small form factor allows placement behind a display or in tight desk spaces. Buyers who need more storage capacity or additional memory for heavier multitasking should consider other options. The integrated graphics limit suitability for demanding 3D or video production tasks.

128GB SSD boot drive

The 128GB solid-state drive provides fast boot and application launch times for the installed Windows 10 Pro operating system. It offers limited space for large local files or extensive software libraries. Users planning to store significant media collections or datasets will require external or network storage. The drive capacity is the primary constraint for long-term usability.

Questions about this item

How much heat and noise should I expect from the i5-8500T running all day in the mini chassis?

The i5-8500T is a low-power desktop processor, so the compact chassis stays relatively cool and the fan runs quietly under typical office workloads.

What display cables or adapters do I need to connect my existing monitors to the VGA, DisplayPort and HDMI outputs?

The mini desktop provides one VGA, one DisplayPort and one HDMI port; use the matching cable for each monitor or an adapter if your screen only has DVI or USB-C inputs.

Will my existing DDR4 memory modules work if I want to expand the 8 GB that comes installed?

The system uses DDR4 memory, so any standard DDR4 SO-DIMM modules you already own will be compatible for an upgrade.
