Mono wired headset for calls

The Poly Blackwire 3315 is a mono on-ear headset designed for voice communication. It connects through a 3.5 mm mini-phone jack or USB Type C cable for plug-and-play use with computers and mobile devices. The single ear cup leaves one ear open to the surroundings.

Passive cooling and no extra power

The headset draws power only from the host USB port when connected that way and has no active electronics that generate heat. No fan or battery is present so operation is completely silent. The 32 ohm impedance keeps current draw low on either interface.

Monaural design limits stereo uses

The single driver covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz but delivers audio to one ear only. This makes the headset unsuitable for stereo music, immersive gaming or any task that requires binaural separation. Buyers who need stereo output should choose a different model.

Questions about this item

How do I plug in the 3.5 mm and USB-C connectors so the 3315 works right away?

Connect the 3.5 mm jack to an analog audio port or the USB-C plug to a USB port; the headset is plug-and-play with no drivers needed.

Which part of the 3315 mono headset is most likely to need replacement after daily use?

The ear cushion on the single on-ear cup and the omnidirectional boom microphone are the wear items that typically require replacement first.

At what volume level does the 32 Ω driver start to distort during long calls?

The 32 Ω impedance keeps distortion low at normal speech levels; sustained maximum volume may introduce clipping before the 20 Hz–20 kHz range is affected.
