Poly Blackwire 3315 Mono USB-C Headset

The Poly Blackwire 3315 is a mono on-ear headset designed for professionals who spend long hours on calls. It connects via USB-C or a 3.5 mm jack for broad device compatibility. Microsoft Teams certification ensures a streamlined experience for that platform. The lightweight build supports all-day comfort in office or mobile settings.

Installation and common issues

Setup is plug-and-play with USB-C or the 3.5 mm connector, requiring no drivers for basic audio. The inline controls handle volume and mute directly on the 7 ft cable. A frequent issue is selecting the wrong audio endpoint in the operating system, which routes sound to laptop speakers instead. Ensure the headset is chosen as both input and output device after connecting.

Monaural 32 Ohm driver for voice clarity

The single 32 Ohm driver covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz, tuned for speech intelligibility rather than music fidelity. Monaural design leaves one ear open to the surrounding environment. This specification makes the headset suitable for call-centre and unified-communications use, but not for stereo media consumption or critical listening.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the Blackwire 3315 headset is functioning correctly after connecting it?

Plug the headset into a USB-C port or 3.5 mm jack, then make a test call in Microsoft Teams to verify the microphone captures your voice clearly and you hear the other party through the mono earcup.

What comes in the box with the 8M3U5AA#ABA model and what must I purchase separately?

The package includes the wired mono headset with a 7 ft cable that terminates in both USB-C and 3.5 mm connectors; no extra cables or adapters are required for standard use.

Should I choose the USB-C or 3.5 mm connection version of the Blackwire 3300 series for my laptop?

This single SKU provides both interfaces on one cable, so you can use the USB-C plug on newer laptops or the 3.5 mm plug on devices that only have an audio jack.
