Enterprise Wireless Access Point

The HP Aruba AP-304 delivers dual-band 802.11ac connectivity with a combined data rate of 1.70 Gbit/s across 2.40 GHz and 5 GHz bands. MIMO and beamforming technologies improve signal reliability for dense client environments. A single RJ-45 network port provides wired backhaul, while the ceiling-mountable design suits office and campus deployments.

USB Port and Power Options

The integrated USB interface supports peripheral devices or future expansion modules without additional cabling. Power-over-Ethernet compatibility simplifies installation where AC outlets are unavailable. Buyers who need multi-gigabit uplinks or outdoor-rated enclosures should evaluate alternative models.

Questions about this item

How often will the ceiling-mount hardware need to be checked or replaced?

The unit mounts on the ceiling with standard brackets; inspect the screws and anchors annually for vibration loosening, and replace any corroded hardware at that time.

Which resource hits its limit first when the AP runs at 1.70 Gbit/s continuously?

The single RJ-45 uplink caps sustained throughput at 1 Gbit/s, so the wired port becomes the bottleneck before the radio reaches its 1.70 Gbit/s PHY rate.
