HP Color LaserJet CP-4025DN 35 ppm printer

The HP Color LaserJet CP-4025DN is a colour laser printer rated at 35 pages per minute for both monochrome and colour output. It prints at 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution and includes automatic duplex printing. A 600-sheet input capacity supports extended runs, while Ethernet connectivity integrates the unit directly into a wired network. An 800 MHz processor handles the print workflow.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This printer fits offices that need fast, double-sided colour documents on a shared Ethernet link without wireless or USB-host features. It accepts media up to 8.5 by 14 inches for legal-size pages. Buyers who require Wi-Fi, mobile printing protocols or a larger paper tray should consider other models. The unit ships without toner cartridges, so factor that into the deployment plan.

Deciding specification: Ethernet-only network

The sole network interface is wired Ethernet 10/100/1000Base-T; there is no built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. If the installation point lacks a network cable drop, this printer cannot connect without an external bridge or print server. Verify that your environment provides a wired LAN port before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the CP-4025DN ship with starter toner cartridges or must I buy them separately?

The unit does not come with toner; you will need to purchase four colour cartridges before you can print.

Should I choose the CP-4025DN or a model with a larger paper tray for 600-sheet daily runs?

This printer holds 600 sheets maximum, so it matches a 600-sheet daily volume without extra trays.

Will the 35 ppm rating hold when I print double-sided colour documents over Ethernet?

The engine is rated at 35 ppm for both colour and black, and duplex is built in, so two-sided colour jobs run at the same speed.
