Network-ready colour laser printer

The HP Color LaserJet CP-4525N is a network-connected colour laser printer built for shared office environments. It delivers colour and monochrome output at up to 42 pages per minute. Ethernet connectivity allows direct integration into a wired LAN. The unit is supplied new and includes power and network cables.

600-sheet input capacity and 1200 dpi resolution

A maximum paper input of 600 sheets reduces reload frequency during long print runs. Print resolution reaches 1200 x 1200 dpi for sharp text and graphics. The 800 MHz processor and HP ImageREt 3600 handle complex pages, though very heavy graphics workloads may slow throughput. No toner is included with the printer.

USB and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces

The printer offers both USB and 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet ports for flexible host connections. Supported page-description languages include PCL 5, PCL 6, PostScript 3 and PDF 1.4. Drivers and user guides must be downloaded from the manufacturer website. Buyers who need wireless or mobile printing protocols should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the Ethernet 1000Base-T port work with my older 100Base-TX switch?

Yes, the Ethernet interface supports 10Base-T, 100Base-TX and 1000Base-T, so it will negotiate the highest speed both devices share.

How can I verify the 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution is active after setup?

Print a configuration page from the control panel; it lists the current resolution setting and confirms the engine is operating at 1200 x 1200 dpi.

Does the box include toner cartridges or only the power and network cables?

The printer ships with power and Ethernet cables; toner cartridges are not included and must be purchased separately.
