HP Color LaserJet CP4525DN bundle

The HP Color LaserJet CP4525DN is a colour laser printer rated at 42 ppm for both black and colour output. It ships with new generic toner cartridges rated at 8500 pages for black and 11000 pages each for cyan, magenta and yellow. The bundle suits offices that need high-volume duplex printing over a wired network.

Ethernet connectivity limits

The printer connects through a single Ethernet RJ-45 port and supports PCL 5, PCL 6, PostScript 3 and PDF 1.4 emulation. There is no Wi-Fi, USB host or direct mobile printing interface mentioned in the specifications. Networks without a wired drop will need an additional print server or bridge device.

Installation and common issues

The unit arrives fully cleaned with worn parts replaced and includes power and network cables. Drivers and user guides must be downloaded from the manufacturer website. Cosmetic discolouration may be present on the chassis. Missing documentation and the need for manual driver installation are the typical setup hurdles.

Questions about this item

Does the bundle include black and colour toner cartridges, and what are their page yields?

The value bundle ships with new generic toner: black CE260A rated for 8500 pages, and cyan CE261A, magenta CE263A, yellow CE262A each rated for 11000 pages.

What does the 42 ppm print speed mean for everyday office use?

The printer produces up to 42 pages per minute in both black and colour, so a 100-page report finishes in roughly two and a half minutes once the job starts.

The printer connects via Ethernet — what network speed does that provide?

The RJ-45 Ethernet port links the printer to a standard wired LAN, allowing any computer on that network to send print jobs without a direct USB cable.
