Enterprise colour laser printer with toner bundle

The HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M651DN is a new network-ready colour laser printer supplied with a full set of generic toner cartridges. It prints up to 45 ppm in both black and colour at 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution. Automatic duplex printing and a 600-sheet input capacity support high-volume office workloads. Connectivity is provided by Ethernet and USB 2.0 ports.

Suited to workgroups needing fast colour output

Teams that require wireless or mobile printing directly from the device should look elsewhere as the specification lists only wired Ethernet and USB 2.0 interfaces. Buyers who need a larger touchscreen or advanced finishing options such as stapling will not find those features here. Organisations requiring PCL or PostScript emulation details not confirmed in the data should verify compatibility separately.

Ethernet and USB 2.0 wired connectivity

The printer connects to the network via a single RJ-45 Ethernet port and offers a USB 2.0 port for direct printing or local attachment. No Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or additional network protocols are listed in the specifications. This wired-only design determines whether the unit fits into an existing infrastructure without extra adapters.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M651DN to my network, and which step do people often miss?

Plug the Ethernet cable into the RJ-45 port and configure the IP address on the 4.3 inch resistive touch display; the step users miss is printing a configuration page to verify the network settings before sending jobs.

Which consumables will need replacement first and what are their page yields?

The bundle includes new generic toner cartridges: black CF330X rated for 20500 pages, and cyan CF331A, yellow CF332A, and magenta CF333A each rated for 15000 pages; the colour cartridges will run out first.

What is the first limit reached during continuous high-volume printing?

The 600-sheet paper input capacity is the first constraint; once the tray empties the printer pauses until you reload paper, even though the engine is rated for 45 ppm black and colour.
