HP Compaq KVM Switch for 8 Servers

This HP Compaq KVM switch controls up to eight computers from a single console using PS/2 or USB connections. It supports daisy-chaining for expanded management in server rooms. The unit fits a standard 1U rack height and operates on a 48 VDC power supply. Part numbers 147093-001 and 400542-B21 identify this model for procurement.

Straightforward Rack Installation

The 1U form factor mounts quickly in standard racks using included brackets. Installers must verify 48 VDC power availability before deployment, as standard AC outlets will not work. PS/2 and USB cables for each target server are not included and must be sourced separately. Serial port access adds a management option but requires compatible cabling. Buyers needing support for more than eight systems or standard AC power input should consider other solutions.
