Compact Wireless All-in-One for Home Users

The HP DeskJet 4355 AJ4Y0A is a new inkjet all-in-one designed for home users who need to print, scan and copy wirelessly. It includes an automatic document feeder and supports Windows 10, 11, macOS 13, 14 and 15. The package provides HP 68 setup cartridges and three months of free Instant Ink service.

Low Power Operation with Minimal Noise

As an inkjet device, it runs without the high heat or fan noise typical of laser printers. Power draw stays low during normal printing, scanning and copying tasks. The first page emerges in roughly 15 seconds, after which black output reaches 8.5 ppm and colour 5.5 ppm at the stated resolutions.

Replaces Basic Single-Function Printers

This unit upgrades from a standalone printer by adding scan and copy functions plus an automatic document feeder for multi-page jobs. The jump is worthwhile for households that regularly digitise documents or copy multi-page originals. Buyers who need borderless photo printing or colour fax capability should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the DeskJet 4355 to Wi-Fi, and what step causes the most failures?

Run the HP Smart app, select "Add Printer", and follow the on-screen prompts to join your wireless network; the most common error is skipping the prompt to allow the app access to the local network.

Which ink cartridges does the HP 4355 take, and when will I need to replace them?

It uses HP 68 Black (7FP21TN) and HP 68 Tri-colour (7FP20TN) cartridges; the setup cartridges included in the box print fewer pages, so expect to buy replacements after the initial supply runs out.

What limits scan quality when I use the automatic document feeder at maximum size?

The CIS scanner reads at 300 x 300 dpi for copies and up to 8.5 x 11.69 in page size; resolution is fixed, so fine detail on large originals cannot be improved beyond that setting.
