HP DPS-1200FB 1200W Platinum power supply

This new 1200 watt unit targets enterprise servers and high-density compute racks that demand sustained output with minimal waste heat. It fits Common Slot bays in compatible HP platforms and ships ready for immediate deployment.

94 percent efficiency at 50 percent load

At half load the supply converts 94 percent of input power, keeping waste below 60 watts per server compared with lower-rated units. Full 1200 watt capacity is available, though efficiency drops outside the 50 percent sweet spot and thermal headroom narrows.

80 PLUS Platinum certification

The Platinum badge guarantees 94 percent efficiency at 50 percent load, exceeding ENERGY STAR 1.0 minimums of 89 percent. Buyers needing Titanium-level 96 percent efficiency or non-Common-Slot form factors should evaluate other models.
