Cordless 1D/2D imager reads barcodes up to 30.0 m via Bluetooth 2.0 and recharges in its stand
The HP E6P34AA is a handheld imager that reads both one-dimensional and two-dimensional codes without a cable. It connects through a USB 2.0 Type A dongle using Bluetooth 2.0 Class 2 at 2.4 GHz. Up to seven scanners can share one Piconet receiver. The unit ships new in black with a presentation stand that doubles as a charger.
Confirm the host runs Windows XP Professional, Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, Windows 8.1 Professional 64-bit, Windows Embedded POSReady 7 64-bit or Windows Embedded POSReady 2009. A free USB Type A port is required for the radio receiver. The scanner uses the Serial Port Profile, so the operating system must expose a virtual COM port for the application. Verify the 30.0 m open-air range covers the intended work area.
Typical operating draw is below 2.5 W at 5 VDC from the USB supply. Standby current stays under 2.5 mA at the same voltage. The lithium-ion pack of 2100 mAh recharges in 16 hours while seated in the stand. No fan is present, so the device runs silently. Red, green and yellow LEDs on the cradle show charging status and power or data activity.

The box contains the handheld scanner, a presentation stand that recharges the 2100 mAh lithium-ion battery, and a USB 2.0 Type A cable for data and power.
The scanner uses the Serial Port Profile over Bluetooth 2.0 Class 2, so pair it directly to a Windows 7, 8.1 or POSReady host — no extra dongle required.
In open air the radio reaches 30.0 m; the imager reads a 13 mil EAN code from roughly 4.0 to 19.0 cm depending on lighting and angle.
